Streaming movies and TV (ex. Netflix) is something many of our customers use, but it’s also one of the biggest causes of people exceeding their monthly data limit. Even online video like Youtube can really eat into your bandwidth. Many people don’t realize how lowering the quality doesn’t make a huge difference in experience, but can make a huge difference when it comes to usage. Or, you can customize your Internet plan and add some data on every month.

How much data does Netflix use?

  • Ultra HD 4K: 7GB/hr
  • HD: 3GB/hr
  • SD: 0.7GB/hr

Using way too much data on streaming?

TIP 1: Try lowering the quality – you may not notice much of a difference, plus will save you lots of data.
TIP 2: One of our new Data Add-Ons might be right for you, added for those who just want worry-free HD streaming.
