- HDMI Cable
- Power Cord
Connecting your Beam TV+ STB
1. Plug the provided power cord into your Beam TV+ STB, then plug the other end into an electrical outlet or power bar.
2. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port on the back of the STB, then plug the other end into an HDMI port on the back of your TV.
Please remember the HDMI port number, as you’ll need to go to the corresponding HDMI input on your TV.
3. Now, turn on your TV and change the input or source to the corresponding HDMI channel.
Pairing your remote
1. Insert the batteries into the remote if you haven’t already done so and point the remote at the STB and follow the onscreen instructions.
Connect your Beam TV+ STB to the Internet
1. After paring your remote you’ll begin to activate your service by first, selecting your language.
2. Then you’ll want to connect your Novus Beam TV+ STB to the Internet and you can do this in one of two ways:
- A wired connection: If your router is located next to your TV or you have an active Ethernet jack nearby you can use the provided Ethernet cable for wired connection.
Simply connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the back of the STB and the other end into an available port on the back of your router or directly to the wall socket. - A wireless connection: If you STB is not located near your router or an available Ethernet jack you can connect to your WiFi.
- If you have an Android phone, you can easily transfer your phone’s Wi-Fi network and Google account to your TV by clicking “Continue”.
- If you click “Skip” you will be presented with a list of networks in range of your STB so you can select your Wi-Fi network name and fill in your password.
3. Once the device connects to a network, it will check for any outstanding updates. This process should only take a few moments and your device will restart once it’s complete.
Log in to your Google account (optional)
1. If you want to enable features such as the Google Play Store and Voice Search you will need to login to your google account.
2. Click “Sign-In” and you will be prompted with 2 options; to use your phone/computer or use your remote to sign in.
Using your phone or computer you will be given a 6 digit code that will need to be entered into the following website: https://androidtv.com/setup
Using your remote control, you will be asked to enter in your Google account credentials manually.
3. Next you will be prompted to accept/turn on the following items and features;
- Terms of Service
- Location Services
- Help Improve Android
- Google Assistant (voice search)
- Get Personal Results
And finally, the STB will attempt to detect your TV type/brand and program the remote to the TV so you can turn it on/off and use the volume up/down and mute functions.
This process should happen automatically for most TV brands, but if there are any issues you can select your TV brand from the supplied list and follow the onscreen instructions.
That its! The box is ready to go and should launch into the Beam TV+ app. Enjoy!
