Beam TV+ | Devices | How do I pair my Fire TV Stick remote with my TV?
Many of the newer Fire TV Stick remotes include built-in TV controls, allowing you to manage basic functions like:
- Power (On/Off)
- Volume (Up/Down)
- Mute
These buttons typically pair automatically with most modern TVs using infrared (IR) technology. However, in some cases, you may need to set them up manually.
If your TV controls aren’t working:
Follow these steps to manually pair the Fire TV Stick remote with your TV:
1. From the Fire TV home screen, go to “Settings” in the top menu.
2. Select “Equipment Control”.
3. Choose “Manage Equipment”, then select “TV”, and tap “Change TV”.
4. Wait for the Fire TV Stick to attempt automatic detection of your TV brand.
5. If the detected TV brand is correct, select “Yes” to proceed. If not, choose “No”, and manually select your TV brand from the list.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.
