Your Guide to People, Places and Things

People, Places and Things

They are the heart of your home – That’s why Novus Connect app is built around these 3 key features. In a few easy steps, you will be able to tailor your connected experience and quickly navigate into the most important settings of your Wi-Fi.

The main dashboard is already organized for you with dedicated tabs for People, Places and Things.

 

Things

1. Before you start adding People profiles and Places, you will want to get all your Things connected to the Wi-Fi.

Note: To quickly find your Network Name and Password, tap the Plus button and then Things.

2. Now that your devices are connected, you can view them at anytime from the Things section of the main dashboard.

3. Want more info and control of a particular device? Just tap into it!


People

Now you’re ready to tailor an experience for People in your home. Whether you are a parent, a work from home pro or a skilled gamer, profiles give you control over your Wi-Fi.

1. From the main dashboard, tap the Plus button and then People. Give your profile a name, picture and select all the devices that belong to this person. You can add as many profiles as you want.

Your new profile is ready to customer for the Ultimate Wi-Fi experience.

2. From the main dashboard tap into the People section and then into the profile you created.

3. Once inside the profile you can view today’s total top app usage or view app use over a 7- and 30-day durations.

4. With a simple swipe, toggle off internet access to all devices in this person’s profile.

5. Set internet access time limit schedules.

6. View all the individual devices that are part of this profile.


Places

Places are a great way to organize your devices by location such as an office, media room or even outside.

1. From the main dashboard tap the Plus button and then Places. Give your Place a name, picture and select all the devices that are found in this place.

2. Now that your Places are setup, you can view them at anytime from the places section of the main dashboard.

Note: Want more info and control of a Place? Just tap into it!

3. Once inside the Place profile, you can quickly view individual devices that are part of this Place.

4. Want to shut off internet access to a particular device, simply toggle it off. To turn it back on, toggle it on.

 

Novus Connect app gives you control at your fingertips. You are in command of the People, Places and Things in your home.

*Please note these PVR's can only be reprogrammed if they are non-Shaw or OCAP boxes
