Regular TV | Troubleshoot: TV is showing a double image
A double image, sometimes called a ghost image, usually occurs when there is signal interference. Learn how to stop your TV from doubling the image.
There are two fixes depending on whether you have a VCR connected to your TV.
If your TV is connected directly to your wall outlet:
- Ensure that your coax cable is securely connected to your TV and the wall outlet. If this doesn’t work,
- Replace your coax cable.
If you have a VCR connected to your TV
- Turn off your VCR. If this doesn’t work,
- Plug your coax cable straight into your TV from the wall outlet without connecting it to your VCR.
- If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the coax cable.
